Ellen McGill Bass, age 68, resident of Long Beach, died on Wednesday, March 22, 2006, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Bass was a lifelong resident of the Coast and a member of First Baptist Church of DeLisle, where she was instrumental in coordinating and producing various programs. She was an insurance agent with the Riemann family at Riemann Funeral Homes for 12 years, and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tony and Merle Cuevas McGill, stepson, Ronald E. Bass, and brother, Waverly McGill.
She is survived by her husband, B.B. Bass of Long Beach; children, Marvin Ray Smith of Long Beach, Pamela Woodcock of Bossier City, LA, Donald Seymour of Diamondhead, Donna Gilliland of Long Beach, Charles B. Bass of Saucier, Donna Jean Bass of Richton, and Pamela Walls of Alexandria, LA; siblings, Joann Cunningham of Long Beach, Tommy Ray McGill of Gulfport, Marilyn Miller of Long Beach, Peggy Bond of Long Beach, and Judy Cross of Sevierville, TN; 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 24, 2006, at Gulf Coast Funeral Homes, Kiln DeLisle Road Chapel, where friends may visit from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 25, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of DeLisle, where friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow in Conn Cemetery in Long Beach.
