Ella Victoria Helton Thomas of Gulfport, Mississippi entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at the age of 95.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Devers (Deb) Thomas; her parents, Frank E. Helton and Francis Moran Helton; her brothers, Alfred (Jiggs) Helton, Frank Helton, Jr., Robert Helton, George Helton, Otis Helton, and Johnny Helton Sr.; granddaughter, Sharon Miller Migues Graves; and great-great-grandson, Ashton Blaine Pope.
Known to all as “Maggie” she leaves to cherish her memories, her daughter, Vivian Thomas Miller; granddaughter, Melissa “Lisa” and Pete Pope; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Pope, Victoria Migues, Isabella Migues and Courtney Lassabe; and great-great-grandson, Oliver Pope; and her beloved nieces and nephews and special friends, Shirley and Pete Graves.
Maggie enjoyed the simple things in life, beginning with her family and friends, sharing and cooking the fresh seafood caught by Deb and her brothers, music, dancing and working where she met many and shared her respect and kindness with. She was caring, strong and supportive of her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Friends are invited to join the family for visitation and services on Tuesday, September 14th at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., with the service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Evergreen Gardens in Gulfport.
