Ella M. Lock age 64 of Long Beach, died Saturday, July 12, 2008, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Lock was born October 19, 1943 in Pensacola, Florida and had been a resident of Long Beach since 1980. She was a Deputy Clerk in the Harrison County Circuit Clerks office for 18 years, member of the Kiwanis Club of Orange Grove, and prior to Katrina was a member of the Long Beach Kiwanis Club and served as a distinguished president and secretary and was a Hixon Fellow. She was a member of camp Kiwanis Staff, and was a member of the SheppardaÌ‚â‚â„¢s Way Church in Long Beach for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother Lawrence Phillips. Survivors include her husband Howard H. Lock of Long Beach; two children, Micheal Lock of Pascagoula, and Ruth Mitchell of Long Beach; four siblings, Bob Phillips, Ian Phillips, Jr., Gertrude Williamson, and Florence Barsse; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Rd., Long Beach, from 10:15am until 12:45pm. Funeral Service will be at 12:45pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family prefers contributions to Camp Kiwanis in memory of Ella Lock, P.O. Box 313, Biloxi, MS 39533.
