Elizabeth Ann Shavers White, of Pass Christian succumbed to a 22 year long battle with scleroderma on July 23, 2011, at home surrounded by loved ones.
Ann was a graduate of Perkinston High School and William Carey College. She worked in the Harrison County School System for a number of years as both a secretary and substitute teacher. Her time was best spent as a mother and wife. A talented artist, she leaves a legacy of inspirational work.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas ""Nuke"" and Alma ""Doodie"" Shavers, and one sister, Alma Jean Shavers Tucker.
Ann is survived by her loving and caring husband of 47 years, Marvin; two sons, Timothy and his wife Denise of Union, and M. Thomas White of Long Beach; six grandchildren, Carrie, Dakota, and Sydney White; Cody, Matthew, and Morgan Mason; daughter-in-law, Trina Luminaise White of Ocean Springs, and brother, Thomas Shavers of Gulfport, along with many friends and relatives.
A memorial service will be held at Gateway United Methodist Church, Highway 49, Gulfport, on Saturday, July 30, 2011, at 1:00 PM.
