Elizabeth Eileen Walter, age 71, of Gulfport, passed away on October 02, 2023.

With heavy heart, we announce the passing of Beth, a beloved sister and friend. Beth was born on December 5, 1951, in Wichita, Kansas. She grew up in Wichita and was known for her love, concern, and care for her younger siblings.

Beth loved anything to do with Disney and enjoyed reading. She was adventurous and strived to improve her status. Beth attended the University of Southern Mississippi, where she earned both a bachelor's and master's degree, with honors, in social work and later pursued a career in Social Work. Her dedication and passion for Social Work made her a respected figure. She was a National Association for Social Workers (NASW) member. Outside of her professional life, Beth had a vibrant and loving personality. She was known for her sense of humor and kindness. She had a special place in her heart for helping others, ballet, theatre, watching sci-fi, Disney, and reading.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, and her memory will live on in our hearts forever.

A memorial service to celebrate Beth’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on October 21, 2023, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport, MS.

In lieu of flowers, we kindly request that donations be made to the Humane Society in Beth's name, as it was a cause close to her heart. We extend our deepest gratitude to all those who have offered condolences and support during this difficult time. Your love and kindness are greatly appreciated. Beth touched the lives of many, and her legacy will endure through the memories we shared with her. May she find eternal peace and rest in the loving arms of the Lord.
