Ms. Elizabeth Lee Thompson, age 92 and a resident of Gulfport, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2010, in Gulfport.
Ms. Thompson had been a resident of the MS Gulf Coast for the past 50 years. She was of the Presbyterian faith and a member of the Daughter's of the American Revolution.
Ms. Thompson retired after 39 years of service as a dedicated school teacher. She taught at Beauvoir Elementary School, where she was the last remaining of the original staff that opened the school. She was a mentor to her family and friends, and enjoyed her yardwork. She will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Foster & Corrine Thompson and her sister, Mary Amelia Beach.
She is survived by her adopted family, Jerry & Felicia Bullock of Gulfport; and numerous cousins.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Hospice of Light in Ocean Springs.
A burial will be held at Charleston Cemetery in Charleston, MS at a later date.
The Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
