Elizabeth Curry Robinson age 94, a resident of Gautier, MS., passed away on October 17, 2022, at her home in Gautier.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Hart and Elsie Curry of Yorktown Heights, NY; her loving husband of over 69 years, Joseph Hugh Robinson, Sr., of Miami Florida and later in life Gautier, MS.
She is survived by her children, Joseph Hugh Robinson, Jr. (Debra) of Wellington, FL., Bonnie Louisa Hixson of Oxford, MS., David Hart Robinson, and James Carey Robinson both of Gautier, MS; her sister, Barbara Jennings of Binghamton, NY; six grandchildren; sixteen grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Elizabeth was a native of Yorktown Heights, New York and graduated from Yorktown Heights High School where she was the captain of the Cheerleading team. She was employed for many years as the executive secretary for the food director of Jordan Marsh Dept. Store. She was a member of the Daughters of American Revolution, State Regent for over 56 years. She enjoyed genealogy, international traveling and had visited over 20 countries and had been on numerous cruises. She loved attending Cursillo as well.
She was a member of the Eastern Stars, a member of the Presbyterian Women, and Daughter of the Nile, and a member of the Miami Shores Presbyterian & Gautier, MS Presbyterian Churches. Elizbeth helped with the Gautier Presbyterian Food Pantry for many years.
Mom would always say, “I want to go home”. She was truly a Christian woman and is with Jesus now, and she is truly home.
A Celebration of Life will be 2pm, Sunday, November 20, 2022, at the Gautier Presbyterian Church, 1009 US-90, Gautier, MS 39553.
