Elizabeth Liz """" Rice Hood

Elizabeth aÌ‚â‚Å“Lizâ₝ Rice Hood, age 55, died Thursday, July 31, 2008, at Baptist Hospital West, Knoxville, Tennessee, after a short battle with cancer. Liz was a real estate broker and owned Hood Real Estate in Walland, Tennessee.
Elizabeth Rice Hood was born in Gulfport, MS on September 20, 1952, and graduated from Gulfport (East) High School in 1970. She was a member of Chi Omega Sorority and received a BS and MS from the University of Mississippi.
Liz was preceded in death by her parents, James H. and Addie B. Rice of Gulfport. Survivors include her husband Bobby L. Hood of Walland, TN, son Lee Gordon of Memphis, TN; brothers and sisters-in-law, James aÌ‚â‚Å“Jimâ₝ and Sharon Rice of Hattiesburg, MS, William aÌ‚â‚Å“Billâ₝ and Fran Rice of Alexandria, VA, and John and Suzanne Rice of Gulfport, MS; loving nieces, Adele Rice DeBattista of New York, NY, Mimi Rice Henken of New York, NY, Jennifer Rice of Fort Collins, CO, Angela Rice of San Diego, CA, JulieAnna Rice Sherrod of Daphne, AL, and Natalie Rice Hargrove of Seattle, WA.
Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of South MS, 2615 25th Ave., Gulfport, MS 39501.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the Saddle Ridge Community of Tennessee and the Riemann family of Gulfport.
Visitation for friends and family will be on Saturday, August 16, 2008, at 1:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport. Interment will be at Floral Hills Cemetery in Gulfport.
