Elizabeth Frances Mendow Caserta, age 80, of Diamondhead, formerly of Waveland and New Orleans, passed away Friday, April 28, 2017.
Mrs. Caserta was born in New Orleans to Frank Robert Mendow and Dorothy Drawe Mendow. She was a graduate of Dominican High School and Dominican College. She worked in and retired from the medical industry. She was a resident of the Whispering Pines community in Waveland for 30 years leading up to Katrina. She was a parishioner at St. Clare Catholic Church and a member of Nereids.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 56 years, Donald Alvin Caserta.
She is survived by her son, David Donald Caserta of Diamondhead; daughter, Diane Caserta of Hattiesburg; daughter-in-law, Kathleen M. Bogart of Hattiesburg; sisters, Ethel M. Schott and Dorothy M. Guenther; brother, Robert Mendow; and brother-in-law, Timothy Caserta
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Clare Catholic Church, Waveland on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at a later date in New Orleans.
