Elizabeth Ashley Shelton Caravaggi

Elizabeth Ashley Shelton Caravaggi died on August 9, 2009, in Blufton South Carolina. Ashley was born on November 27, 1964, in Gulfport, Mississippi. She was educated in Gulfport where she attended Westminster Academy and Gulfport East High School. She later graduated from Mississippi Southern University. Ashley went on to work in New York City, and for the last twenty years, has lived in New York, Florida, and South Carolina.
Ashley is the daughter of Ann Waller Shelton and Ernest Lafayette Shelton, and granddaughter of Annie Pearl and Shannon Waller Sr., all of whom preceded her in death.
Ashley is survived by her daughter, Katherine Crawford Stanbury of Miami Beach, Florida. She is also survived by her longtime companion and fiance, Joel DeGrandis, of New York and South Carolina.
A memorial service for Ashley will be held Saturday, August 29,2009 at 11:00 AM at Southern Memorial Park.
