Elizabeth Boyd

Elizabeth (Beth) McNeely Boyd, age 58, of Zachary, Louisiana, passed away on March 26, 2022, in Gulfport, Mississippi.

There will be a Celebration of Life for family and friends at a time to be determined.

Beth was born in Marrero, Louisiana on November 4,1963, the second daughter and fifth child to Howard and Enola (Naquin) McNeely.

Beth was married to John Boyd and instantly became Mom to John’s daughter, Janice. Later they had a daughter, Jessica Boyd.

Beth worked as a caregiver for a private family for many years. She enjoyed the beach, her kids, and time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Beth is survived by two daughters: Janice Boyd Hardin (Rodney) of Loranger, La. and Jessica Boyd (Austin) of San Antonio, Texas; five grandchildren; Mandy Ard (Brayden) of Covington, La., John Hardin of Loranger, La., Gracie Rogillio, Cameron Rogillio, and Braxton Boyd all of San Antonio, Texas; two great-grandchildren: Luke Ard and Beaux Hudson of Covington, La; one sister: Sue McNeely Dunaway (Mark) of Zachary, La.; three brothers, Howard McNeely (Darlene) of Denham Springs, La, David Wayne McNeely (Michelle) of Gonzales, La, and John McNeely of Titusville, Fla.; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, as well as her best friend, Peggy Morris of St. Amant, La., who was with her until the end.

Beth was preceded in death by her husband John Boyd; her mother Enola Naquin McNeely; her father Howard McNeely; and brother Rickey McNeely.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Janice Boyd via Riemann Family Funeral Home. The family of Elizabeth Boyd wishes to thank the ICU staff at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport, Mississippi, and the staff at Riemann’s Family Funeral Home in Gulfport.
