Eliska Grimes

Eliska Virginia Trippe Grimes, age 84, a native of Gulfport, and recent resident of Ocean Springs, MS., passed away on January 21, 2020, in Moss Point, MS.

She attended St. John High School in Gulfport, loved bowling, spending time with her family and was of the Catholic Faith.  She will be deeply missed by those she knew and loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph R. and Lula  Trippe; her sister, Theda  (Trippe) Milano; and grandson, Michael J. Grimes.

Eliska is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Joseph C. Grimes; her son, Michael S. Grimes; daughters, Shari Brewer, and Joanne Lassiter (Jay); one sister, Rose (Trippe) Bell; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A prayer service will take place on Monday, January 27, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. with friends and family visitation taking place from noon until the service at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd. at Washington Ave. in West Jackson County.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Waldrup and the staff at We Care Hospice of Moss Point.
