Elim E. Saucier

Elim E. Saucier, 91, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2012.
Mr. Saucier was born in Saucier, MS on September 1, 1920. He served his country in World War II. After getting out of the service he married and settled in the state of Washington. He worked as a diesel mechanic before returning to his hometown and working for many years in the oil fields, retiring from there and enjoying life for a while. He then ran his own business, and later worked part-time for the Gollott's of Biloxi, until he retired for good in 1997. His favorite hobby was fishing.
Mr. Saucier is preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude, of Gulfport; parents, Art and Spicey Saucier; brother, Curtis; sister, Earline, all of Saucier; and grandson, Eric of Washington state.
He is survived by his three daughters, Frances Marietta Haskins and husband Jim, Laurene Saucier Beitel and husband George, all of Washington state, and Cheryle Muller and husband James, of Pleasanton, CA; his loving caregiver, his sister Donna Ryen; sister, Maritta Cutrer, both of Ocean Springs; sister, Gladys Dunnaway of Wiggins; brother, Pete Saucier of Saucier; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Colville, Dr. Streigel, Dr. Quitana, Dr. Zayad. Ocean Springs Hospital Staff, Ocean Springs Emergency Room Staff, and Camelia Home Health Care and Hospice.
Pallbearers will be Rickey Frank, Wilson Stillwell, Jr., Mike Catchot, Curtis Paul Saucier, Terry Odom, and J.L. Cutrer, Jr.
Friends are invited to visit at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS on Friday, March 23, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and from 10:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2012. Interment will follow in Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens.
