Elfren Acosta Sr.

Elfren Acosta Sr., 76 years old, born on October 10, 1945, departed this life on November 5, 2021, in Carriere Mississippi.

He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and graduated from Francis T. Nicholls High School in 1963. He then went on to College at Louisiana State University until enlisting in the Air Force. He served a campaign in the Vietnam War. When returning met his lifelong love, June Catherine Crawford in New Orleans where they wed and raised their four children, Sarah, Elfren Jr.,Christopher and Rosa until moving to Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi.

He is preceded in death by his parents Rita and Santos Acosta and his beloved sister, Maria Elizabeth Acosta.

He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty years, June Catherine Acosta.  His four children; Sarah and Dennis Dauro III, Elfren Jr. and Jennifer Acosta, Christopher and Bridgette Acosta, Rosa and Jeremy Smith.

Nine grandchildren; Cody Acosta, Jay Smith, Christopher Acosta II, Tres Acosta, Sinjin Smith, Brennan Acosta, Leah Acosta, Isabella Dauro, and Roman Dauro.

His six great-grandchildren; Coraline Smith, Lyla Smith, Addyson Acosta, Olivia Acosta, Ava Acosta, and Levi Cullen.

His two brothers Juan and Eduardo Acosta. As well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews whom he all loved dearly.

He had a talent for drawing and all things devoted to art, a love for good food, LSU,and the Dallas Cowboys.

May his transition be sweet as we grieve our loss and heaven's gain.

There will be a private memorial service for immediate family members.
