Elena Vargas

Elena Uribe Vargas, age 80 passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017 in Gulfport, MS.
Mrs. Vargas was a native of Michoacan, Mexico and a resident of Biloxi. She was a homemaker and loving mother to all twenty of her children.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Angel Vega, her daughters, Maricela Vega, Apolinar Vega, and Juana Vega, and her sons, Ubaldo Vega and Gustavo Vega.
Mrs. Vargas is survived by her children, Jaime, Armando, Fernando, Miguel, Dionicio, Gilberto, Juventino, Sergio, Benjamin, Angel, Eva, Laura, Bertha, Altagracia, and Ramiro; and granddaughters, Sandra Diaz, Maribel, Diaz, and many more much loved grandchildren.
Thank you God for giving us such a great woman, the best mother she could have ever been, and the best role model anyone could have asked for. She will forever live in our hearts. Amen!
Visitation will be held for family and friends on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 6:00 until 10:00 p.m. at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, MS 39531.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday April 6, 2017 at 6:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 2090 Pass Road, Biloxi, MS 39531. Visitation will be held from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the church.
Mrs. Vargas will be laid to rest at a later date in Cementerio de San Heraclio, Michoacan Mexico.
