Elaine Smith

Elaine Frances Smith, of Diamondhead, Mississippi, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at the age of 83.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her father, Francis Bulfinch; and her mother, Beatrice Bulfinch.

She is survived by her spouse of 63 years, Laurence "Larry" Smith; her children, Kenneth Smith and wife, Isela, Richard Smith and wife, Linda, and Scott Smith and wife, Kimberley; her grandchildren, Matthew Smith, and wife, Ashley, Kevin Smith, Amanda Smith and Melissa Maddison and husband, Paul, Kenneth Smith, William Smith; and her great-grandchildren, Landon Maddison, Jason Maddison, Avery Smith and Harper Smith.

Mrs. Smith was a native of Boston, Massachusetts and has resided in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Texas, Mississippi. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School, Lyne, Mass. and was a Real Estate Agent in Mississippi and Florida. She was a proud Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, a loving and devoted wife, with a kind heart.

She was a member of the Red Hat Society, a member of Mardi Gras King and Queens Court and of the Diamondhead Boaters Association. She was an avid golfer and bridge player and she loved hosting and attending luncheons with The Diamondhead Ladies.

The family wants to thank all those that have supported us throughout this time including all the caregivers, nurses, Hospice staff, and many caring friends and family members who have been there to help.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice Care.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
