Elaine Ladner

Mary Elaine Cuevas Ladner, age 77, entered into the gates of Heaven on Friday, June 10, 2022, in Pass Christian, MS at her residence where she made her heavenly journey surrounded by her loving family.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Elaine, she loved quilting, and sewing.  She took great pride in growing the most beautiful flowers and she loved spending time with her family.

She was a devoted member of the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Pass Christian, MS.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Lavert L. Ladner; and her parents, Lecter J Cuevas, Sr., and Ethel Cuevas.

Mary Elaine was a devoted mother and blessed with three daughters, Cindy Repp, Lisa Harper (Kelly), both of Pass Christian, MS, and Sharon Baize (Cory) of Kiln, MS; her loving sisters and brother, Barbara Postier (Norm), Judy Cuevas, and Lecter “Bubby” Cuevas (Jewel); her grandchildren who were her pride and joy, Lyndsay Oberlies (Jay), Joshua Repp, Courtney Repp, Cameron Blaize, Breanna Blaize, Makayla Blaize; great grandchildren, Donovan Riley, Jase Repp, Cole Repp, Raegan Oberlies, Cameron Oberlies; and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom she adored.

The family sends their gratitude to the Oschner Neurocritical Intensive Care Unit in New Orleans, LA, and to Beverly with St. Joseph Hospice.

The visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, June 17, 2022, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Pass Christian from 5:00pm – 9:00pm, the rosary will begin at 5:00pm.  A 2nd visitation will be on Saturday, June 18, 2022, also at the church beginning at 9:00am, with the Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 10:00am. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery at Rotten Bayou.
