Elaine S. Belham

Elaine S. Belham, 69 and a resident of Gulfport, died on Tuesday, March 15, 2011, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Belham had been a resident of Gulfport since 1967. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She retired as a Program Coordinator with the City of Gulfport Senior Citizens' Center. Elaine was a lifelong volunteer to numerous church affiliated programs. She also had a recent interest with family genealogy.
Mrs. Belham is preceded in death by her parents, James & Maizie Keene Sproul; her maternal grandparents, Roy & Hazel Keene; her paternal grandmother, Resa Sproul Fife; her brother, Bruce Roy Sproul and infant sister, Sandra Sue Sproul.
She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, John Belham, Jr., of Gulfport; her children, Scott James (Dale) Belham of Gulfport, John Walter (Jennifer) Belham of Clyde, NC, Tanya Renee (Jeff) Lofton of Seminary, Benjamin Jeremy (Dana) Blackwell of Jackson, and Megan Joy (Blake) Howe of Jackson and 11 grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, March 18, 2011, at 6:00pm at Trinity United Methodist Church, 5007 Lawson Avenue in Gulfport, where family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Trinity UMC.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Gulfport Fire Dept., Station 7 and American Medical Response for their professionalism in caring for our loved one.
The Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, is in charge of arrangements.
