Russell Secord passed away on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, at the age of 93. Mr. Secord was born in Springfield, MA and was a resident of Diamondhead, MS for three years, and previously lived in Vancleave, MS; Ocean Springs, MS; Miami, FL; Agawam, MA.
Mr. Secord was preceded in
death by his wife, Lillian Secord, of 66 years; father Elmer Secord; mother Ella Secord; sisters Marjorie Dunn, and Pauline Hanson. Mr. Secord is survived by children Wayne (Jane Frydman), Palm Beach, FL; Nancy (Albert) Epps, Vancleave, MS; sister Bernice Dickerson, Woodstock Valley, CN; four grandchildren, Christine Morreale (Barry) Diamondhead, MS, Steven (Cathy) Epps, Wewahitchka, FL; James Secord, Lumber Bridge, NC; Saundra (Loren) Higgins, Norco, CA, six great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; niece Linda DiRosa, Oceanside, CA, Emmett (Phyllis) Thomas, Bomoseen, VT; and many other Loving relatives and friends.
He was a member of Elm-Belcher Masonic Lodge, Agawam, MA and an honorary member of Ezell Masonic Lodge, Vancleave, MS.
He retired with over 33 years as a machinist with Standard Electric Time Co. of Springfield, MA.
Special thanks to the caregivers at the 400 and 500 Hall, Woodland Village Nursing Center, Diamondhead, MS; and Better Communication Center, Diamondhead, MS; Newman Eye Center, Bay St. Louis, MS; and Dr. Kellum Diamondhead, MS.
In lieu of flowers, the family
prefers memorial contributions be made to the Ocean Springs Senior Center, 514 Washington Ave, Ocean Springs, MS 39564 or charity of choice. There will be no services or funeral. The RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport, MS is in charge of the arrangements.
