Edwin Earl Bush, age 77 and a resident of Long Beach, died on Saturday, January 10, 2009, in Long Beach.
Mr. Bush was a native of Grand Rapids, MI, and served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Long Beach, where he had served as a deacon. He retired from the Mississippi Press newspaper, with over 20 years of service.
Mr. Bush is preceded in death by his parents, William G. & Tena Rumbaugh Bush.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Peggy Satchfield Bush of Long Beach; his daughter, Crystal E. (Gary) Marshall of Waveland; his son, Eric Edwin Bush of Long Beach; his grandchildren, Peggy (Nick) Walgren, Robin Bush, Sean Bush, Jonathan Bush, Christopher Marshall, and Elizabeth Marshall; his great grandchildren, Justin Walgren, George Walgren, Drake Walgren, Nevaeh Phillips, and Michael Phillips, and several nephews and nieces.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at 1:30 p.m. at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road in Long Beach, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Biloxi National Cemetery, with military honors. For more information, please call (228)539-9800.
