Edward Brown "Eddie" Singletary

Mr. Singletary, 61, died January 20, in Ocean Springs, MS. He was born October 9, 1950, grew up in Meridian, and graduated from Meridian High School in 1969. He attended Meridian Junior College and Mississippi State University. Professionally, he worked in mapping and design for the cable industry since the mid 1970's. For most of his adult life he lived in Saucier, Mississippi.
Survivors are Kathy Parker Singletary, mother of their child, Dylan Parker Singletary, of Ocean Springs; his mother, Martha Claire Singletary, of Meridian; brother, Allan Singletary (Vickie), of Bailey; sisters, Amy Deen (Tim), of Meridian, Nancy Scott (Doug), of Butler, AL, and Laura Crocker (Derek), of Toomsuba; uncle, Bob Cowan, of Meridian, and aunt, June Singletary Brown (Holly) of Mooresville, NC and 11 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward B. Singletary, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Edward Brown Singletary, Sr., and Kathlyn S. Singletary; maternal grandparents, Robert E. Cowan and Ruby M. Cowan.
The family requests that memorials be made to a favorite charity.
A memorial service for Eddie Singletary will be held at 1:30 p.m., on Saturday, January 28 at Jones Memorial Presbyterian Church in Meridian, MS. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service in the church narthex.
