Edward F. Rosenhauer

Edward F. Rosenhauer died peacefully on February 6th at his home surrounded by his wife and family.
Ed was born in Carroll, Iowa, on April 29, 1929, to Elmer and Mollie Rosenhauer of Early, Iowa. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic School in Early, Iowa, and graduated in 1947. He attended Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, and then Buena Vista College in Storm Lake, Iowa, earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. He went on to complete some graduate work at Creighton University in Omaha, NE, before enlisting in the Air Force in 1952.
In the Air Force, Ed was a Staff Sergeant in the Instructor Training Department at Keesler AFB in Biloxi, MS. From August 1954 to August 1955 he was stationed in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, working in base operations. Upon his return to Keesler, he resumed his work in the Instructor Training Department.
In August 1955, shortly after returning from Saudi Arabia, he married Jacqueline Bussolati of Biloxi, MS, at Nativity BVM Catholic Church. When honorably discharged from the Air Force in June 1956, he and Jacqueline moved to Chicago, IL, where he entered the Sears Management Training Program. He held many positions with Sears Roebuck, including Assistant Store Manager, Group Operating Superintendent, and lastly in the real estate department where he was responsible for 10 states in the Southeast. Ed retired from Sears on December 31, 1988, and moved to Diamondhead, MS.
In college, Ed was a member of the intercollegiate debate team, Student Council President, member of the a cappella choir, editor of the yearbook, and member of Sigma Tau Delta Fraternity.
Ed, as a lifelong member of the Catholic Church, was a parishioner, choir member, Eucharistic Minister and served on the building committee for Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, member of the Knights of Columbus and the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, a Lumen Christi recipient, and was King of the Krewe of Diamondhead in 1997.
Ed is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jacqueline nee Bussolati, five children Drew (Lora) of Lawrenceville, GA., Alan (Teresa) of Thompson's Station, TN., Brian of Webster City, IA., Theresa (Tom) Ketchum of Diamondhead, MS., and Dave (Mary) of Carbondale, IL., eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, his sister Mary Moomey of Fair Oaks, CA., sister-in-law Darlene Rosenhauer of Boone, IA, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by brothers Norbert of Naples, FL and Joseph of Boone, IA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Friday, February 10th at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church with visitation starting at 9:00 am. There will be a private family interment at Biloxi City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church Building Fund, 9062 Kiln DeLisle Road, Pass Christian, MS 39571.
