Edward William Maslowski, 86, a resident of Gulfport and Woolmarket, passed away on July 27, 2010, at his home.
He was born on April 29, 1924, and was raised in Cloquet, Minnesota. He was a member of the U.S. Air Force from June 1942, to December 1952 with an honorable discharge. He was a Purple Heart recipient of WWII for being shot down twice over the English Channel as a Radio Operator Gunner on a B-24.
He was an active member of Coalville United Methodist Church, lifetime member of the local DAV, and a member of RSVP.
Throughout his lifetime he enjoyed traveling the United States, Canada, and Europe.
Mr. Maslowski retired from the Biloxi/Gulfport V.A. as a nursing assistant and a licensed barber.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Regina Maslowski Beaupre and Adolph Maslowski; two sisters; one brother; and his only grandchild, Tammy Mayfield.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Louise Peterson Maslowski of Gulfport and Woolmarket; his daughter Mary Lou """"Boo"""" Saucier (Rusty) of Saucier, his son, Kenneth E. Maslowski of Gulfport; his son, Earnie Morgan of Boulder, CO; his sister, Mary Hovis of Cloquet, MN; and his brother Chester Maslowski of Minneapolis, MN.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 30, 2010, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport, at 11 a.m. Friends may visit two hours prior to services.
Burial will follow at Coalville Cemetery in Woolmarket.
