Edward ""Eddie"" Lambert went home to be with Jesus and received his perfect body on August 6, 2011 at his home in Denham Springs, LA. His family was beside him.
He was born on May 28, 1952, in Gulfport, MS.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Urban Lambert; and his grandparents, Thomas and Nettie Mott.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Lambert of Denham Springs, LA.; a sister, Patricia Lambert and her husband James of Walker, LA.; and 5 nieces and nephews.
Eddie graduated from Gulfport East High School in 1970. He graduated from Phillips Electronics College and worked as a marine electrician at Ingalls Shipyard until his health failed him. He was a member and volunteer of the Livingston Parish Council on Aging. He was also a member of Walker Baptist Church where he loved serving the Lord. He traveled to Guatemala where he served as children's missionary which he loved doing until his health got too bad to make the trip.
A service will be held at Walker Baptist Church in Walker, LA on Monday, August 8, 2011 at 7:00 pm, with visitation 30 minutes prior. A second service will be held at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at 2:00 pm, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport, MS.
