Edward Carl ""Chief"" Hinson, age 74, of Pensacola, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2011 in Pensacola.
Mr. Hinson retired as Team Chief from the U.S. Navy Seabees Team 7405. He was a Mason and attended Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. Chief will be remembered as a Christian man who was truly patriotic, honest and an entrepreneur. He was a loving father and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, William T. Hinson; mother, Essie Edge; and by the mother of his 3 children, Barbara Jean Hinson. Survivors include his 3 children, Sherrie (Robbie), Pam, and Eddie (LaDon); 9 grandchildren, Leann, David, Trey, Cyrstal, Charlie, Sidney, Hunter, Brooke, Charmae, LaDonna, Carleigh and Mike; 17 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Sylvia McCormick.
Friends are invited to join the family for the Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 12, 2011 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday at Greensburg Cemetery in Greensburg, Louisiana.
