Edward E. Boykin, 60 of Gulfport, MS died July 3rd, 2024. Mr. Boykin was born on April 16th, 1964, in Metairie, LA to the late Edward and Patricia Boykin. He attended Chef school in the US Army and later had an illustrious career with different casinos and restaurants on the coast. Ed won 1st place for inventing fried strawberries while working as a chef at Isle of Capri. He later became a salesman for the utility company. He was a member of Harvest Church in Gulfport. Ed loved playing pool and golf and was a huge NASCAR fan. He loved listening to music and watching the Sunset with his wife. 

Ed was married for 36 years to Krystal and loved with his whole heart. He loved his children and grandchildren, always wishing he could spend more time with them. Spending time with his brother and sister, and in laws always put a smile on his face! He loved to make people laugh and loved hard!

In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his stepson, Kyle B. Schultz.

Survivors include his loving wife, Krystal Boykin, children, Jason Boykin (Brittany) and Kara Swartz (William); siblings, Janis Atwood (Bryan), Daniel Boykin (Carol); stepsister, Lori Van Doorn; grandchildren, Demetrius, Jazlyn, and Karrissah Swartz and Marshall and Charlotte Boykin; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 28th at 4 PM at Harvest Baptist Church with Brother Atwood officiating.

Riemann Family Funeral Home, Gulfport is assisting the family.
