Edward Louis Cross age 79 a resident of Gulfport, MS passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019 in Gulfport, MS.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte;  and his daughter, Cheryl.
He is survived by his six children, Melanie Tomsic (Kyle) of Utah, Lee Menezes  and David "Jeff" Memezes, both of Long Beach, MS, Dawn Smith (Kevin) of Iowa, Tim Cross (Lynn) of Gulfport, MS, and Amanda Cross (Russell Eisworth), also from Long Beach, MS;  his sister, Donna Jones (Byron) of Los Angeles, CA;  eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren who will miss him dearly.
Mr. Cross was born in Duarte, CA in Los Angeles County, he later joined the United States Air Force was an Airman 2 nd Class and was stationed at Keesler AFB in 1958.  He later retired from Caterpillar.
He loved collecting coins, enjoyed sports and playing the penny slot machines.  Mr. Cross served his heavenly father as a Mormon Missionary.
The family would like to thank everyone for the thoughts and prayers sent to the family during this sad time.  He lived to love his wife of over 50 years and his family will have at his request etched on his headstone, "I've gone above to join my Love".
A graveside service will be held at Biloxi National Cemetery on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.   **Family and friends are invited to drive in the Funeral Procession, leaving from Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach, at 10:15 a.m. Friday morning.
