Edward Christopher Blair, a native of Gulfport and lifelong resident of Long Beach, MS, age 60 passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2020.
Eddie was preceded in death by his father, Ed Roberts; his adopted parents, Johnny and Fanny Joe Blair; a sister, Delores Blair; and a brother, Terry Baker.
He is survived by his wife, who he was a loving and dedicated husband to for 33 years, Coyce Blair; mother, Velma Joyce Alexander; children, Barbie Mapes (Mike) of Washington State, Brandon Green, Sr. of Tennessee, Brandon Green, Jr. of Long Beach, Michael McGill, Sr. of Oklahoma, and William Davenport of Long Beach, MS; siblings, Joyce Miller and Lee Ann Taylor, both of Gulfport; grandchildren, Kallie Smith of Hattiesburg, Trevor Seals, and Lexy Seals both of Long Beach.
He was a loving father to his children and step children. He loved boating, fishing, watching Star Trek with Lexy and sitting on the back porch playing with the cat. Eddie served in the United States Navy and was employed at Ingalls Ship Building for 12 years.
Eddie was loved by so many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 31, 2020 from 9:00am-10:00am, service to follow at 10:00 at 1st Baptist Church of Long Beach, 300 N Cleveland Ave, Long Beach, MS 39560.
