Edna McDuffie Petitfils, age 89, of Biloxi, died on Friday, January 4, 2008 at Christus St. Patrick Hospital in Lake Charles, LA.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Preston C. Petitfils; her parents; and three sisters, Jewel May of Garland, TX, Myrtle Suggs of Biloxi, MS, amd Eloise Reynolds of Butler, AL.
Mrs. Petitfils is survived by three children, Raymond M. Petitfils and his wife, Sandi, of Brookhaven, MS, Karen Spradlin of Meridian, MS, and Judy Haney and her husband, Fred, of Lake Charles, LA; five grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
Mrs. Petitfils was born in Meridian, MS on June 11, 1918. She was a longtime resident of Biloxi, MS where she was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was an LPN in Gulfport and an avid golfer. She was active socially in many professional and business activities.
The family would like to thank Dr. Todd Peavy, Dr. Luke Williams, and the staff at St. Patrick's Hospital who cared so kindly for Mrs. Petitfils.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Rd, Biloxi. A procession will leave the funeral home at 2:00 PM for graveside services at Southern Memorial Park and Mausoleum on Highway 90, Biloxi.
