Edna Mae Dubuisson

Edna Mae Wenger Dubuisson, born March 16, 1926, in Lyman, MS, age 97, of Gulfport, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at her home.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Coleman Dubuisson; her parents, Russell Byron Wenger and Edith Ross Wenger; her sister, Ruby Dubuisson; and her two sons-in-law, Dr. James E. Byrd and Dr. Clinton I. Morrison.

Edna is survived by her daughters, Laura Morrison, Linda Byrd, and Gail May; her son, Fred Dubuisson; her son-in-law, David May; daughter-in-law, Wanda Cleveland Dubuisson; three grandchildren, Scott Snowden, Lorraine Dubuisson Hill (Josh), and Russell Dubuisson (Jessica); and four great grandchildren, Sarah Snowden, Emma Hill, Fiona Hill, and Sophia Dubuisson.

Edna taught first, second, and third grades at North Gulfport High School and Bel Aire schools and retired in 1987. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church since its beginning in the early 1940's.

The Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, from 1 - 2 pm at New Hope Baptist Church.  The funeral service will be at 2 pm in the church.  Interment will be in Allen Cemetery.
