Edmund W. ""Red"" Kinest, Jr., age 79, and a resident of Gulfport, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2012 in Gulfport.
Mr. Kinest was preceded in death by his wife, Myra Kinest; father, Edmund W. Kinest, Sr.; mother, Marie Scott; and step-father, Kenneth Scott.
He is survived by his children, Marla Thompson and her husband Jon, of Biloxi; Edmund W. Kinest, III and Rusty, of Pensacola; Gabrielle Kanode and her husband Troy, of Biloxi; brother, Ronald Kinest; sisters, Delores Salvatore and Joanie Nemeth; His grandsons, Michael Cowart, Jr., William Cowart, and Erik Thompson; with a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Kinest served ten years in the U. S. Navy, and retired from Borden's Milk Company. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Woolmarket.
The Funeral Service will be held at 11:45 a.m. on Friday, June 22, 21012 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Biloxi where friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
