Eddy McHugh

June 3, 1928 — February 27, 2020

Eddy McHugh, age 91, passed away on February 27, 2020, at her home in Gulfport, MS. At her request there will be no funeral service.

Eddy began her lifelong career as a nurse after graduating from Mercy Hospital-Street Memorial School of Nursing in Vicksburg, MS.

She then moved to Meridian, MS, to start her family and a nursing career. Although she was very passionate about nursing, she later became a licensed real estate broker and building contractor. She had a love for designing and building homes for their family construction business.

Eddy was a mother to six children, 13 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. Anyone that knew her knew that she was a loving and dedicated mother, and a very proud grand and great-grandmother.

Eddy was a well-skilled, creative individual. In her spare time, she loved creating beautiful Christmas tree ornaments, and she was also a talented seamstress; she enjoyed creating trendy clothes and costumes for her family.

Eddy lived a long-blessed life. She was a matriarch! She was deeply loved and will truly be missed by many.

From her six children, RIP mom, WE LOVE YOU.
