Ed Bailey

Edward Earl Bailey, Jr, age 34, of Gulfport, died in a swimming accident on July 18, 2010 in Biloxi.
He was the first born child of Edward E. Bailey, Sr and Alice R. Bailey on February 10, 1976,
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Earl Bailey, Sr, and his grandfathers, Lander and Eddie Bailey.
He is survived by his loving mother, Alice R. Bailey, two sisters, Gwendolyn Bailey and Monica Walker, all of Gulfport; his grandmothers, Mrs. Tabitha Reed of Jackson, MS and Mrs. Rosie B. Kendricks of Gulfport; ten aunts and uncles, Ida Mae of Milwaulkee, WI, Donald (Dale) Reed of Jackson MS, Melvin (Thelma) Reed of Jackson MS, Allene Gibson of Jackson MS, Willie (Mae) Reed of Jackson MS, Barbara Fulgram of Jackson MS, Edmund (Mary) Hamilton of Los Angeles, CA; Evelyn Reed of Jackson MS; Edna (James) Dees of Tucson AZ, Willie Mae Carter of Gulfport MS; Eddie (Gloria) Taylor of Detroit MI. and a host of cousins and friends.
He was a 1994 graduate of Gulfport High School where he played in the band and a semester away from graduating from University of South Alabama with a BacheloraÌ‚â‚â„¢s degree in Marketing. He has been employed at Best Buy since 2005. He had many hobbies and interests; there was nothing that he could not do. He loved cars, electronics, and car shows.
He was very special to many people as a result of his love, respect and generosity that he showed for others. He was dearly loved by his family and friends and will be missed very much. We are thankful to God that he was an intricate part of our lives and will live in our hearts and souls forever. A definite void will also be felt in the hearts and lives of the many people he touched.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 30, 2010 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2010, at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Pine Ridge Gardens in Gulfport.
