Earl John Badinger

Earl John Badinger, age 85, of Long Beach, MS was called to be with his heavenly father on Sunday, September 28, 2008 at his home in Long Beach, MS. Mr. Badinger was born in New Orleans, LA on February 18, 1923.
He was a World War II Veteran and retired with over 20 years from the U. S. Navy. He also worked for NASA in New Orleans, LA managing the food services department and the Tangipahoa Parish School Board managing the food services department for 10 years each.
He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Geraldine Tucker Badinger, his mother, Catherine Geissler Badinger, father, John Jacob Badinger, sister, Thelma Catherine Badinger, brother, Norman Badinger, son, Earl John Badinger, Jr., and granddaughter, Kimberly Sue Berglund.
Left to cherish wonderful and fond memories are 2 sisters, Claire Badinger of Gulfport, MS, Lillian Badinger Brewer of Metarie, LA, 2 brothers, Charles Jacob Badinger of Slidell, LA and Clarence August Badinger of Metarie, LA, 2 children, daughter, Linda Berglund and her husband Donley of Long Beach, MS, son, Jack Badinger and his wife Mary of Chalmette, LA, 5 grandchildren, Denise Skogen of Richmond, VA, Stacey (Chris) Johnson of Pass Christian, MS, Donley (Sarah) Berglund, Jr. of Richmond, VA, Jack (Stephanie) Badinger, Jr. of Chalmette, LA and Jason (Aimee) Badinger of Florence, KY, 7 great-grandchildren, Erik Skogen, Jack Badinger, III, Jeremy Badinger, Ian Berglund, Adelaide Badinger, Lila Berglund, Samantha Johnson, and a host of other family members and dear friends.
There will be a memorial service for family and friends to be scheduled at a later date at the home of his daughter and son-in-law in Long Beach, MS.
