Dustin Gates

Dustin Michael Gates, age 37 of Woolmarket, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018.
He is survived by his children, Dustin M. Gates II and Madison Gates; his parents, John and Susan Gates; his big brother, Christopher Gates; his niece, Ashlyn Gates; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be greatly missed by countless others.
Dustin was born in Gulfport, MS on August 7, 1980 and was a D'Iberville High School Class of 1998 graduate. Although he spent time working and living in other places such as Las Vegas, NV, Albuquerque, NM and Green Bay, WI, he was drawn to the place he considered home, the Mississippi Gulf Coast.  Dustin was a true Alabama Football fan; he really never had a choice because he was born into it. His body language and hand gestures emphasized everything he was talking about, even on the phone and he loved to make people laugh. Dustin's heart belonged to his family and the friends he considered family, but the pride of his life will always be his children.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2018, at 6:00pm at the Gates' home in Woolmarket. All of his friends and family are invited to come celebrate his life and are encouraged to share their memories of Dustin.
The family requests that family and friends perform unexpected and unsolicited acts of kindness in Dustin's memory.
