Mr. Cox was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Louise Chapotel Cox.
He is survived by his father, John W. Cox; his step mother, Bettye L. Cox; and his half-brother, Keith T. Cox.
A private graveside service will be held at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport, MS.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Magee, MS.
Arrangements are under the direction of RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Gulfport.
