Dr. Cecil Graham

Dr. Cecil Cleveland Graham, age 85 of Pass Christian, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2020 in Picayune.

Dr. Graham was born in Conehatta, MS to Earl and Sarah Thornton Graham.  He graduated from Northeast Louisiana as a pharmacist and later earned his M.D. from LSU.

He was an Army Veteran and was on the teaching faculty of LSU, Tulane, and University of Mississippi Medical Center.  He later retired as an anesthesiologist at Garden Park Hospital and others.

He enjoyed fishing, gardening, coin collecting, and stained glass and woodworking, along with being a dog lover.

Dr. Graham was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Sarah Graham; his sister and her husband, Janie and Dr. Jim Sims.

He is survived by his children, Dr. Joseph A. Graham (Jennifer) and Terri G. Newton (L. Bruce); his brother, Carl Graham (Mildred); his grandchildren, Blake P. Newton (Kayla), Brennan M. Newton, Bella C. Newton, Brice J. Newton, and Jordan H. Graham.

The family would like to thank the staff at Serenity Pearl in Picayune.  They are specifically appreciative of Melissa Brignac and Andrea Sheridan of Amada Health, who were a true blessing.

Friends are invited to join the family for visitation on Saturday, February 29th from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS 39503.  The Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.  Following services, family and friends are invited to remain for the Reception and a Time of Gathering in the Reception Room at Riemann Family Funeral Home.  Dr. Graham had a special request, that those who attend come in very casual attire (no suits).
