Dr. Bertie "Frances" Baird Weiler, age 71 of Long Beach, passed away on October 13, 2018, in Gulfport.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Lola Franklin Baird; her brothers, Tommy and Eddie; and her sister, Sarah.
Frances is survived by her sister in law, Beth; her niece, Rebecca; and her loving companion, Candy.
She received a Bachelor's Degree from Delta State, a Master's Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, and a Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University of Florida.
Frances was an educator in Hancock and Harrison Counties for more than 30 years. Her greatest love was to impact her love of reading to children.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 10, 2018, at 10:00 AM, at Main Street United Methodist Church in Bay St. Louis.
In lieu of flowers, book donations for Kindergarten through 3rd Grade will be received at the memorial.
