Dovie T. Powell, age 86, of Gulfport, passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2010 in Gulfport.
Mrs. Powell was born in Sandy Hook, MS.
Mrs. Powell was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Tynes; her husband, Wilfred L. Powell; her three sisters; her three brothers; and her grandson, Tony Powell.
She is survived her sons, Wilfred L. (Charlene) Powell, Jr., of Biloxi, Garry (Penny) Powell of Vancleave; one brother, Harold D. Tynes of Wiggins; two sisters, Pearley (O.B.) Kinsey of Gulfport and Edgie Holston of Florida; five grandchildren, Lydia Sales, Torrey Powell, John, Nathan, and Brent Powell; and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, July 12, 2010 at 11:00 am at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd,. Gulfport, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
