Douglas Husley

Douglas Husley, 64 of Gulfport, MS passed away on October 18, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born on January 13, 1959 in Biloxi, MS to the late Andrew & Ruby Husley.  He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Terry Husley.

Doug was a true outdoorsman and loved nature.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was known as the “Fish Whisperer”.  Doug’s true love was spending time with his family and friends.  He was a member of First Baptist Church of Gulfport.  Doug worked for Lyman Well Company for over 32 years and considered his coworkers as family.  He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Doug is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Faye Husley; daughter, Misty (Lee) Pounds; grandchildren, Cailey (Kai) Malbrough, Emily Pounds, and Jace Pounds; soon to be great granddaughter, Lucy Faye Malbrough; siblings, Andy (Autumn) Husley, Gene (Debbie) Husley, Mary Rinckey, Ernest (Alice) Husley, Sally Jarrell, Laura (Kari) Smith, and Albert (Marilynn) Husley.  Doug is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 22, 2023 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at Riemann Family Funeral Home (11280 Three Rivers Road).  Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at the Riemann Family Funeral Home with burial to follow in Coalville Cemetery.
