Douglas Gregory """"Pops"""" Cooper, age 62 and a resident of DaÌ‚â‚â„¢Iberville, Mississippi, died November 24, 2007, in DaÌ‚â‚â„¢Iberville.
Mr. Cooper was a native of Kalamazoo, Michigan, and a resident of the MS Gulf Coast for two and a half years.
Mr. Cooper, a general contractor, served in the U. S. Marine Corps in Vietnam, and was a Lieutenant in the Nevada Highway Patrol. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 322, and VFW Post 6731. He enjoyed fishing and golfing.
Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sally Ikehara; and brother, Robert Cooper.
Survivors include his children, Doug Sutherland, of California; Mark Cooper and family of Panama City, FL; Greg Cooper and family of Colorado Springs, CO; and Michelle Conway, of Suffolk, VA; sisters, Sue Wagner, of Florida; Beth Robbins, and Kay Speese, both of Michigan; ten grandchildren; and companion, Cheryl Lamey.
Private interment will take place at the National Cemetery in Biloxi, MS.
