Douglas Edward Cooley, age 64, of Gulfport, died Sunday, November 11, 2007 in Gulfport.
Mr. Cooley was a native of Jones County, MS and lived most of his life on the coast. He owned and operated Modern Metals, Inc. and he was a lifetime member and served as a deacon at First Baptist Church, Lyman. He was also a member of the Gulfport Rotary Club where he was honored as a Paul Harris Fellow. Mr. Cooley enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Turner and Rena May Cooley and a brother, John Franklin Cooley.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Cooley, Gulfport; 3 daughters, Lori Cospelich, Calhoun City, MS, Maida Hill, Peachtree City, GA, and Cindy Stinnett, Saucier; and 7 grandchildren, Lauren and Ashton Cospelich, Turner and Jess Hill, and Douglas, Bradley, and Alec Stinnett.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 13, 2007 from 1 - 2 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. The funeral service will be at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will be in Gulf Haven Cemetery.
