Dottie Torchie, age 62, of Long Beach, died Sunday, March 21, 2010 in Long Beach.
She was a native of New Jersey and has lived on the coast since 1993. She was currently employed by Hollywood Casino as a beverage manager and was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, yardwork, and spending time with others. Dottie was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and grandmother and will be missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Earl Nece, Sr., and a brother, Robert Earl Nece, Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Torchie, her mother, Dorothy Nece, 2 daughters, Tara (Peter) Meleones, all of Long Beach, and Terri (Joe) Bilhimer, Pass Christian, 5 grandchildren, Allison and Erin Meleones, Joey, Anthony, and Carley Bilhimer, and numerous other relatives and friends including a special friend and caretaker Bonnie Bolen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 6:30 pm Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church where friends may visit from 5:30 - 6:30 pm.
