Dorothy Welch

Dorothy J. Welch age 90, a native of Texas, and resident of Biloxi since 1965, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 in Gulfport, MS.
Ms. Dot was a teacher for the St. Martin Elementary School district from 1965 until her retirement in 2000. She loved cooking, sewing and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of The Order of Eastern Stars, and will be deeply missed by those who knew her.
She was preceded in death in 2010 by her husband of over 50 years, WWII Veteran John C. Welch, Jr.
She is survived by her son, Wendell Welch; grandchildren, Jacob Welch, Johnathan Welch, Rachel Welch Johnson, and Patrick Wayne Welch; her great grandchildren, Josia, Micka, Collins, Allisa, Theo and Dorothy; a host of relatives and friends.
A procession will leave RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd. in West Jackson County at 10:15 a.m. going to BILOXI NATIONAL CEMETERY for an 11:00 a.m. service where Ms. Dot will be laid to rest.
