Dorothy Louise Pickering, age 87, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2014 in Gulfport, MS.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Walton Pickering; her parents, Gus and Jewel Roberts; and her brother, Truit Roberts.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Jimmy (Judy) Pickering of Fairhope, AL, and Gary Pickering of Gulfport, MS; her siblings, Peggy Joyce Jernigan of Escatawpa, Katheryn Boldware of Hattiesburg, Gussie Lee Bruce of Magee, and Herbert Lee Roberts of Hattiesburg; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was the former co-owner of a BBQ restaurant and enjoyed cooking, cleaning and homemaking.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport from 10-11am, with a service at 11am in the funeral home chapel.
