Dorothy Nece

Dorothy J. Nece, age 82, of Biloxi, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2011.
She was born in Philadelphia, PA on November 8, 1929 and married Robert E. Nece on November 30, 1946. Dorothy and Bob retired to St. Petersburg, FL in 1980, and later moved to the MS Gulf Coast to be near their family.
She was preceded in death by her son, Robert E. Nece, Jr; her husband, Robert E. Nece, Sr; and her daughter, Dorothy J. Torchie.
Survivors include two devoted granddaughters, Tara (Peter) Meleones and Terri (Joe) Billhimer, and five great-grandchildren, Allison Meleones, Joey Billhimer, Erin Meleones, Anthony Billhimer, and Carley Billhimer; her son-in-law, Charlie Torchie, a sister, Melinda Corson, and brother Sam Mondrosh.
Mrs Nece loved her family and her friends at Gabriel Manor and spending time with them. She enjoyed playing bingo and visiting some of the Coast's casinos. She loved to cook and bake and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 1 pm Thursday, December 8, 2011, at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Rd., Biloxi, where friends may visit from 12 noon - 1 pm
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to St. Vincent de Paul School Art Department, 4321 Espy Ave., Long Beach, MS 39560
