Mrs. Dorothy Mae Geil Miller, age 90, lifelong resident of Gulfport, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2010.
Mrs. Miller was born in 1920 to Earl and Ruth Bouslog Geil. She graduated from Lyman High School and Goshen College in Indiana. She was a member of Gulfhaven Mennonite Church, where she was a Ladies Bible Study Leader, Sunday School Teacher, and was involved in the Ladies Sewing and Quilting Group. She retired as a school teacher after 30 years with the Harrison County School System and Gulfport Schools. She was involved with Gideons International Auxiliary and one of her favorite hobbies was crocheting.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Maida Geil Hill.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Oren Glen Miller of Gulfport; daughters, Shirley Passwater (John) of Gulf Shores, AL, and Connie D'Souza (Chris) of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Andrew Passwater (Megan) of Austin, TX, Olivia and Anna D'Souza of Houston; and her brother, Earlin Geil of Mobile, AL.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 31, 2010, at Gulfhaven Mennonite Church at 2 p.m. Friends are invited to visit one hour prior to services.
Burial will follow at Gulfhaven Cemetery.
