Dorothy Lance

Dorothy M. Lance, age 85, of Sun City, AZ, died on September 14, 2007 in Sun City.
Mrs. Lance was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Paulis and Blanche Mikulecky Paulis, and Robert G. Ferguson and Amy Pettit Ferguson; a sister, Alice White; and a brother, George Paulis.
She is survived by her husband, Walter D. Lance of Diamondhead; a daughter, Karen K. Yordy and her husband, William R. Sr. (Bill), of Diamondhead; two sisters, Marian Riter of Plant City, FL and Mildred Guy of Washington, IA; a brother, Martin Moschel of Little Rock, AR; two grandchildren, William R. Yordy, Jr. and his wife, Diane, and Brian S. Yordy, all of Baton Rouge, LA; one great grandchild, Richard S. Yordy of Hamilton, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Lance worked at Sitler Auto and Electric in Washington, IA in the office and at their root beer stand and later worked with her husband, Walter, in their real estate business. Music was her passion and she played for her church and Sunday School. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved to cook, clean, and nurture her family.
Memorials may be made to one's charity of choice.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, October 7, 2007 at the Diamondhead United Methodist Church, Diamondhead, MS.
