Dorothy Howard

Dorothy Louise Bond Howard, age 90, of Saucier, passed away Friday, February 8, 2008 in Hattiesburg.
Mrs. Howard was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Howard; her parents, Loren and Sinnie Bond; and her brothers, R.L. Bond and Lamar Bond; and her sisters Edith Smeltzer and Eula Sullivan.
She is survived by her children, Ronald Howard of Foley, AL, Donald Howard of Lumberton, MS, Jacqline Brandon of Saucier, MS and Diana Beall of Wiggins, MS; her sister, Violet Fontanto of Jackson, LA; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Mrs. Howard was a native and life long resident of the Saucier Community. She retired from the Biloxi VA as a nurses aid and was a member of Cedardale Baptist Church. She was a loving and giving parent. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Being outdoors was her favorite past time, whether working on her yard, sitting on her porch or watching her grandchildren at play. Her biggest enjoyment was having her whole family gathered near her. She will be cherished and so missed by those who hold her close to their hearts. Tears of joy for she is with our Lord in Heaven, tears of sadness for her loved ones loss. Blessed is she in God's arms for eternity.
A visitation will be held from 10:45 to 11:15 A.M Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11213 Hwy 49 N, Gulfport, with funeral services at 11:15 A.M. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
