Dorothy Entrekin

Dorothy Louise McCully Entrekin age 90, passed away on January 13, 2021 in Biloxi, Mississippi.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Berwyn Wickham McCully and Viola Jordan McCully; her brother, B.W. "Lucky" McCully, Jr.; her sister, Erma McCully Ring; and her husband, J. C. Entrekin.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Wanda Gail Entrekin King and Gary Wayne Entrekin; her son-in law, Joseph William King, Jr.; her grandchildren, Joseph Cully King and John Brandon Levi King; and her great grandchildren, Brendan Scott King and Kaylee Leighann King; a niece, Kimberly mcCully and many other relatives and dear friends.
Dorothy was born in Biloxi, MS on a houseboat on the Back Bay. She grew up liing by the Tchoutacabouffa River, she loved to swim, fish and go boating.
She graduated from D'iberville High School and then attended a business college in St. Petersburg, FL. She married her husband J. C. Entrekin and became a stay at home wife and mother (a Domestic Goddess). She loved to cook, sew and garden and enjoyed working in her yard and grew beautiful plants and flowers. She loved doing outside activities with her family and was still climbing trees in her 60's.
Dorothy was known to most as "Dottie" and to her grandchildren and great grandchildren as "Dee Dee". She loved to make people laugh and could always put a smile on anyone's face! She was a charming and caring "Southern" lady. Her sense of humor, her gift of writing poetry, her love and affection, her ability to listen when you needed to talk, her big heart and sound advice as well as her compassion for others will always be remembered by all of those whose lives she touched...
She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends and will live in our hearts and memories forever.
A small celebration of her life to honor her memory will be held on February 27, 2021 from 3:00 until 4:30 p.m. at the home of Gail and Joseph King at 11315 River Oaks Dr. Biloxi, MS 39532. Call 228-860-5541 for more details.
